1. Agreement to these terms
By creating an account or using AmaPrep, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Who may use AmaPrep
AmaPrep is designed for South African Grade 12 learners. If you are under 18, you may use AmaPrep only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf and takes responsibility for your use of the service.
3. What AmaPrep provides
AmaPrep is an online study aid offering past examination papers, lessons, practice questions, exam-paper practice, progress tracking, and leaderboards for NSC subjects. During our launch period, access is free. We may later introduce paid plans; if we do, we will tell you clearly before any charge applies, and [explain how launch-period access is honoured or transitions].
4. Your account
Keep your login secure and your profile information accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account, and you should tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.
5. Acceptable use
Use AmaPrep for your own study. You may not: misuse or disrupt the service; attempt to access other users' accounts or data; copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our content except as section 6 allows; post unlawful, harmful, or offensive content (for example in friend-group features); or use the service to break any law.
6. Content and intellectual property
- Past examination papers are official National Senior Certificate materials of the Department of Basic Education (DBE), provided here for educational use; all rights in those papers remain with their owners. AmaPrep is an independent study platform and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the DBE or Umalusi.
- Our own content — lessons, practice questions, worked solutions, generated questions, and the AmaPrep software, branding, and design — belongs to [entity] or its licensors and is provided to you for personal, non-commercial study only. You may not reproduce or distribute it without our permission.
7. Educational disclaimer
AmaPrep is a study aid. While we work hard on accuracy and curriculum alignment, we do not guarantee that content is error-free or that using AmaPrep will produce any particular examination result.
8. Service availability
We aim for reliable access but provide the service "as is" and "as available", and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features. [Insert maintenance/availability and any uptime statement.]
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, [entity] is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of AmaPrep. [Attorney to tailor, including any Consumer Protection Act carve-outs that cannot be excluded.]
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or misuse the service. You may stop using AmaPrep and request deletion of your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction. [Confirm any preferred dispute-resolution process.]
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We will notify you of material changes in-app or by email.
